Chinese Performing Artists of America (CPAA), CNetwork, and World Channel will present the full-scale extravaganza, Spring Festival Silicon Valley (SFSV) on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. SFSV will be the first full-scale gala in 2009 to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the most important and joyful festival of the Chinese heritage.

In the spring, the Chinese culture prepares for the forthcoming year by planning a course to afford new opportunities, hope for good luck, better fortune, and all around good wishes. In the spirit of the Chinese New Year, an up-beat variety show will be presented consisting of music, dance, skits, comedy, choruses, Shaolin Kung Fu, and acrobatics to entertain the audience. The performers are first rate artists of CPAA and some of the best talent from the Bay Area. People from all walks of life, different cultural backgrounds, and all ages are invited to come and enjoy this gala celebration. English subtitles will be provided for the non-Chinese speaking audience. The SFSV will be the best show in town. Tickets can make a great New Year’s present for family members and friends.

We appreciate City of San Jose our major donor and the many patrons supporting our efforts so that we can offer great tickets at affordable prices.

We had a very successful event. Thanks for your support and welcome to join us next year.
